Why Jacob Foan?

Growing up in Devon (England), Jacob Foan was born deaf in his right ear and he had communication issues until he was 7, when he discovered a piano in his best friend’s house: and that was it! His life was transformed in that moment – because music was, and is, his language.

After writing and starring in the independent film ‘Don’t Let Go’, Jacob won the TV talent contest ‘ISINA’ in Los Angeles, from over 30,000 worldwide applicants.

During the show he was mentored by industry legends: Walter Afanasieff (producer of “My Heart Will Go On”, “Hero”) and Randy Jackson (the original judge on ‘American Idol’).

Returning to the UK in 2023, Jacob started developing and writing ‘Pyjama Man’. Frustrated with the lack of representation where Jacob could recognise his own humanity and story: he decided to create his own.
